$1000 sundae
New York’s Serendipity restaurant created a “Grand Opulence” sundae at the outset of its 50th anniversary.
This luxury worth $1000 marks all gold.
Made with “5 scoops of the richest Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream infused with Madagascar vanilla and covered in 23K edible gold leaf,
the sundae is drizzled with the world’s most expensive chocolate,
Amedei Porceleana, and covered with chunks of rare Chuao chocolate, which is from cocoa beans harvested by the Caribbean Sea on Venezuela’s coast.
The masterpiece is suffused with exotic candied fruits from Paris, gold dragets, truffles and Marzipan Cherries.
It is topped with a tiny glass bowl of Grand Passion Caviar, an exclusive dessert caviar, made of salt-free American Golden caviar, known for its sparkling golden color.
It’s sweetened and infused with fresh passion fruit, orange and Armagnac.
The sundae is served in a baccarat Harcourt crystal goblet with an 18K gold spoon to partake in the indulgence served with a petite mother of pearl spoon and topped with a
gilded sugar flower by Ron Ben-Israel.”
I haven’t yet planned to have it, but I hope soon I will try.
“Sannakchi,” which is featured in the picture above.
These are baby octopuses and they are served live.
They are sliced up before they are eaten, of course,
but they are still wriggling when you dip them in the sauce and put them in your mouth.
This is my favoraite korean food, especially when it live.
But you should be carefull because the octopus can suctioned onto your throat and you may
choked to death.
This has happened before, but for some reason,
people continue to eat it.

Remeber, Always with soju! ()
Oddly enough, despite fish being the mainstay of the Korean diet (along with rice), beef dishes are the most prized of the native recipes. Pul ko gi (Korean barbecued beef strips) and kal bi jim (braised spare ribs in soy sauce and spices) are two of the most popular dishes — ones that have survived even beyond the introduction of Buddhism by the Chinese.
You should eat Korean BBQ with SOJU () !
Koreans also indulge in sashimi, although these raw fish pieces are cut more coarsely and larger than their Japanese counterparts. As with other foods, Korean sashimi is typically eaten wrapped in lettuce leaves.
